Peruvian Harvest Organic Dried Mango Slices

Although mangos may have originated in and are still most strongly associated with India, they are also grown in many other parts of the world, nowadays -- often (as here) from a naturally disease-resistant and delicious type of cultivar called "Haden." These ones were grown in a northern region of Peru called Cajamarca, whose unique soil conditions give rise to an incredible taste.

Aside from simply tasting yummy, mangoes have a number of health benefits. They're high in antioxidants and fiber, full of vitamins and minerals (including vitamin C, beta-carotene, and folate), and can help digestion (and regularity) and vision, and may even help reduce inflammation (due to their polyphenols content), among other things.

To produce these long-lasting, well-preserved dehydrated slices without sacrificing their natural sweetness, nutritional value, or great taste, the producers first slice the fresh fruit very thinly and then use a unique cold-drying process, without needing to resort to irradiation, high heat, or preservatives.
