Tea Description
Passion Flower is native to the Americas, and was introduced later to Europe. In both regions, this perennial climbing vine holds a long and celebrated history in the herbal medicine tradition.
Passion Flower is known first and foremost for its potency as an anxiety relieving herb. However, much like valerian, it is also remarked upon due to its anti-hysteric and anti-insomnia effects.
Passion Flower’s efficacy is thought to be due at least in part to a rise in GABA (gamma aminobutyric acid) levels within the brain triggered by consumption of the herb.
– May aid in the alleviation of anxiety
-May aid in the promotion of restful sleep
-May aid in the reduction of hysteria symptoms
