Description
Ashwagandha (Withania Somnifera) is a powerful herb gifted to us by nature and Ayurveda. As per Ayurveda in Sanskrit, Ashwagandha means “smell of a horse” meaning the herb smells like a horse and has the potential to provide strength.
Ashwagandha is traditionally used in Ayurveda as Rasayana (Rejuvenative tonic). Withania Somnifera is traditionally used in Ayurvedic/herbal medicine as a sleep aid and/or to balance aggravated Vata (nervine).
Ashwagandha is also traditionally used in herbal medicine for memory enhancement, and to relieve general debility, especially during convalescence or old age.
Ashwagandha is commonly available as a churna or Powder, a fine sieved powder that can be mixed with water, ghee (clarified butter), or honey or capsules.
How To Use:
Take 1-2 servings 2-3 times a day. 1 gram = 1 serving = 1/4 teaspoon. Mix Ashwagandha Powder in a warm or cool beverage.

Avoid taking with alcohol or products with sedative properties. Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/physician if sleeplessness persists for more than 4 weeks (chronic insomnia), or prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Contra-Indications:
Some people may experience drowsiness. Exercise caution if operating heavy machinery, driving a motor vehicle, or being involved in activities requiring mental alertness.
