Iron is an essential trace mineral needed for the proper formation of red blood cells and their normal function in the body. Chewable Iron contains SunActive® iron, a well-researched and highly bioavailable source of ferric pyrophosphate iron. It is made using micronization technology that dramatically improves iron absorption into the body and is gentle on the gastrointestinal system so it does not upset sensitive stomachs. This formula is suitable for children ages three years and older and provides 10 mg of elemental iron per day. The chewable sour-peach-flavoured tablets taste delicious and help keep children and adolescents excited about taking a daily iron supplement. They contain no GMOs, gluten, sugar, or artificial sweeteners, and are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Medicinal ingredients
Each chewable tablet contains: SunActive® iron (ferric pyrophosphate)10 mg
Non-medicinal Ingredients
Xylitol, microcrystalline cellulose, citric acid, natural flavours, stearic acid, vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant).
Recommended use
- Helps to prevent iron deficiency anemia.
- Helps in the formation and maintenance of red blood cells.
- A factor in the maintenance of good health and normal growth and development.
Recommended dose
Recommended dose (children and adolescents 3 to 18 years old): Chew 1 tablet daily with food, a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products, or as directed by a health care practitioner.
Cautions
Keep out of the reach of children. There is enough iron in this package to seriously harm a child. Stop use if hypersensitivity occurs.
