Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea) is an immune-stimulating herb that is well-documented in both traditional medicine and within the scientific community. The patented extract ECHINAMIDE has been proven consistently to enhance immune system function. Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis) is an antimicrobial and immune-boosting herb. The main active constituent of goldenseal, berberine, is clinically shown to have antimicrobial effects against a wide variety of pathogens, including bacteria, yeast, and fungus.

Combining ECHINAMIDE with goldenseal in a fresh herb tincture maximizes the cold-fighting power of the herbal remedy. Medicinal ingredients
 
Each 1 mL (25 drops) contains:

Echinacea purpurea* (root) (liquid extract 1:1 in 40% alcohol) 230 mg
Echinacea purpurea* (aerial part) (liquid extract 1:1 in 40% alcohol) 520 mg
Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis) (root) (liquid extract 0.25:1 in 40% alcohol) 62.5 mg
In a base of purified water and 100% pure grain alcohol.

Purified water, ethanol.

Recommended use

Traditional herbal medicine for the relief of sore throat and cough due to colds.

Recommended dose

Recommended adult dose: 1 mL (25 drops) 3 times daily, or 7–8 drops every half hour to a maximum of 75 drops daily, in a glass of water, or as directed by a health care practitioner. Take at the first sign of infection. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 8 weeks.

Cautions

Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have a kidney disorder, blood pressure problems, an autoimmune disorder, a progressive systemic disease such as tuberculosis, collagenosis, multiple sclerosis, AIDS and/or HIV infection, or if you are taking immunosuppressants. Consumption of goldenseal with alcohol, other medications, and/or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Rare cases of severe allergic reactions have been known to occur; use caution if you are allergic to plants of the Daisy family. Keep out of the reach of children.
